Winemaker Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-purple color with lovely bouquet of cassis, black cherry, dried herbs, tobacco, and damp earth. On the palate the wine is very well balanced with refreshing acidity and supple tannins. The dominant palate notes are of black cherry, black plum, blackberry, dried herbs, cacao, and minerals. The medium plus length finish echoes notes of cassis and damp earth. This wine can be enjoyed in the near term but it should reach maturity in 6-8 years and gracefully evolve for 10+ years.
