Celebrating the end of the 2026 harvest with wines for the table, the season, and the moments we share. Fall brings a different rhythm to Rivaura. After weeks of picking and long days in the winery, harvest begins to wind down, and we look forward to welcoming the people who help make each vintage possible: our wine club members.
Our Fall Wine Club Release is a chance to gather, taste, and celebrate another season of work in the vineyard. It is also an invitation to carry a little of Rivaura home, with wines to open over a holiday meal, share beside the fire, or enjoy on an ordinary evening that deserves something special. This November, we have five wines that offer plenty to explore, from the floral elegance of Chardonnay to the depth and savory complexity of our Reserve reds.
Meet the Fall Lineup
2025 Chardonnay
Floral elegance with a comforting richness. White hydrangea blossoms and Asian pear introduce this Chardonnay, followed by flavors reminiscent of lemon-infused crème brûlée. Balanced texture and a touch of minerality keep the wine lively, while subtle vanilla and nutty notes add a savory dimension to its floral and fruit character. It is a lovely way to begin a fall gathering and a natural companion to roasted poultry, creamy pasta, or any warm meal shared around the table.
2021 Merlot
Generous fruit, silky tannins, and a long, precise finish. Aromas of plum and crème de cassis mingle with pencil lead and gravel, setting the stage for a vibrant, richly flavored palate. Black fruit unfolds alongside cigar tobacco, nutmeg, dark chocolate, and classic Bordeaux herbal notes. Crisp acidity gives the wine freshness, while silky tannins carry its generous fruit through a long finish. For the season ahead, think braised beef, roasted mushrooms, or a Sunday supper that invites everyone to linger.
2023 Petit Verdot
Bold dark fruit with a floral lift. This Petit Verdot makes an expressive entrance with blackberry, black plum, cassis, blueberry, and violet. As it opens, cocoa, cedar, and baking spice add depth. The palate brings dark berries, bittersweet chocolate, crushed rock, and savory spice, supported by firm, fine tannins and fresh acidity. A lingering finish reveals dark fruit, cocoa, cumin, and coriander. Its bold character makes it an appealing partner for grilled steak, slow-cooked lamb, and hearty winter dishes.
2022 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
A classic estate Cabernet with depth and presence. Selected from our best estate parcels, this full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of cassis, cinnamon, mint, graphite, truffle, and earth. Cassis and blackberry lead the palate, followed by leather, tobacco, pencil lead, vanilla, and dark chocolate. Ripe, supple tannins and bright acidity provide balance and carry the wine into a long finish. This is a bottle to build an evening around—whether that means a holiday prime rib, a carefully prepared dinner, or good conversation with fellow wine lovers.
2022 Reserve Syrah
Powerful, silky, and richly savory. Deep purple in the glass, this Reserve Syrah opens with blackberry, huckleberry, violet, mineral, tar, truffle, and vanilla.
Its full-bodied palate combines blackberry with bacon fat, wild herbs, forest floor, espresso, dark chocolate, and earth. Silky tannins meet powerful structure and taut acidity, creating a wine with both richness and energy. Try it alongside smoked meats, wild game, or an earthy mushroom dish, and give it time in the glass to reveal its layers.
